Material Delivery System for Asphalt Patch Trucks

Falcon asphalt patch truck equipped with an extended Material Delivery System auger chute

Falcon’s optional Material Delivery System combines the uptime and speed of Falcon’s gravity dump hopper with the targeted material delivery of an auger-driven chute.

Available for any Falcon patch truck model, the system helps crews direct hot mix asphalt to the repair area while limiting manual handling and unnecessary truck movement.

Benefits of Falcon’s Material Delivery System

N

Precise Material Placement

The swiveling, variable-speed chute helps crews direct asphalt to the repair area.

N

Proven Gravity-Dump Reliability

A proven gravity-dump hopper feeds the auger chute without placing moving components at the bottom of the hopper.

N

Easier Access and Service

Ground-level auger access and a removable system design make routine service more straightforward.

How Falcon’s Material Delivery System Works

Step 1: Deliver Material to the Chute: The patch truck’s standard gravity dump hopper delivers hot mix asphalt into the material delivery chute.

Step 2: Move Material Through the Auger: The auger-driven chute carries asphalt away from the hopper and toward the repair area.

Step 3: Direct Asphalt to the Repair Area: The operator positions the chute and adjusts material flow for controlled discharge.

More Control Where the Work Happens

Falcon’s Material Delivery System gives operators greater flexibility over how and where asphalt is discharged, helping crews work efficiently around the repair area.

Variable-Speed Operation: Set the auger speed to manage the delivery rate.

Forward and Reverse Control: Run the auger in either direction as job conditions require.

Side-to-Side Reach: Swing the chute across the rear of the machine and beyond the truck’s tires.

Accessible Operator Controls: Manage material delivery from controls positioned within easy reach.

Simplified Access When Service Is Needed

Falcon designed the Material Delivery System to make routine access and removal more straightforward, helping crews reduce the disruption associated with service work.

Ground-Level Auger Access: Access the auger from ground level for easy job site repairs.

Quick-Disconnect Hoses: Four quick-disconnect hoses make the system easier to detach.

Four-Bolt Removal: The entire Material Delivery System can be removed using four bolts. Making the machine operable even when the auger needs repair.

Material Delivery System FAQs

Is Falcon’s Material Delivery System an auger?

Yes. It is an auger-based attachment that pairs Falcon’s gravity dump hopper with a powered delivery chute to direct asphalt toward the repair area.

Is the Material Delivery System available for every Falcon patch truck model?

Yes. The optional Material Delivery System is available for any Falcon patch truck model.

Does the system reduce manual shoveling?

The swiveling chute places asphalt closer to the repair area, which can reduce the amount of material crews need to move by hand.

How is material flow controlled?

Operators can vary auger speed, run it forward or in reverse, and swing the chute from side to side to manage material discharge. All machine controls including hooper controls are on the auger handle.

How is the system accessed for service?

The auger can be accessed from ground level by removing four hasps. The full Material Delivery System can also be removed using four bolts and four quick-disconnect hoses.

Built on a Proven Gravity-Dump Platform

Falcon’s Material Delivery System builds on a gravity-dump hopper design already used on more than 5,000 trailers, slip-ins, and hook-lift units in the field. By pairing that proven platform with an auger-driven delivery chute, Falcon enables targeted material delivery without the need to locate an auger or conveyor at the bottom of the hopper.
