Using a traditional dump truck instead of a hot box requires workers to shovel asphalt from an awkward height. Falcon asphalt hot boxes allow laborers to shovel material from a much lower height, resulting in superior ergonomics and improved productivity.

Falcon Hot Boxes all come equipped with the industry largest material unloading door, making it easy to dump asphalt or have multiple people shoveling out of the hopper at the same time. Our heated shoveling apron extends seamlessly into the hopper allowing for easy access with a shovel for smaller repair jobs where the dump function is not being utilized.

How Do Our 3-Ton Asphalt Hot Box Trailers Work?

The main function of any asphalt hot box is to keep hot or cold mix asphalt at the optimal working temperature throughout the day.  Falcon’s patented heat management system allows us to create and maintain heat better than any other asphalt hot box on the market. Rather than firing our burner directly into the hooper walls, our diesel Beckett burner fires directly into our patented seamless one-piece combustion chamber that creates a tumbling action before pushing heat into the floor of the box.

A series of stainless-steel baffles help disburse the heat evenly throughout the floor of the box before allowing that heat to rise into the walls. Our walls are triple wall insulated and ensures that heat stays in the box while keeping the outside of the machine cool to the touch. You can heat hot or cold mix asphalt and hold it for up to 48 hours. Our 3 -Ton Asphalt Hot Boxes can be built with an optional second burner that fires directly into a cross chamber to heat the material in the middle of the Hot Box. This second burner allows you to use indirect heat to reclaim unused hot mix and recycle asphalt chunks and millings.
